This multi-professional resource has been written to support a 2-3 hour teaching session on IO needles and is for use by clinicians with a responsibility for teaching this skill.
The resource consists of three elements:
1. IO literature background: essentially a summary literature review of the background evidence to date
2. IO teaching workshop: a guide to run a practical workshop for IO cannulation
3. IO powerpoint: of slides to present in the session
